I ate at the Fox and Hounds

In general: Having been to the Fox and Hounds on a number of occasions with family and friends we have not been disappointed and have had. No problem recommending The Fox and Hounds to many others. The service and food have been excellent . Having been involved in an accident I had not been out for quite a while. We decided that we would take relative out for a meal. The service from the waitresses was very good . The food was very poor quality badly cooked and much of it was in edible. I had a garlic mushroom starter the mushrooms were encased in a soggy coating, they were dark brown inside chewy almost like rubber and completely tasteless. The main meal was a surf and turf I ordered three steaks 1 medium, medium rare and 1 well done. They were all well done we complained but my husband kept his steak and ate it even though it was not right. My steak was sent back to the kitchen about 10 minutes later I received another steak which was rare it was so chewy you could not eat it the rest of the food had been left as it was completely cold. The other meals were also cold. I complained to what I believed was a member of the management and she sai I would not be refunded the starter as there was only one mushroom left I and others in my party said no there were three and a had mushrooms left and there had only been 4 mushrooms to start with. I asked to speak with management and she refunded for my meal. I went out to enjoy a meal with my family and was disgusted at the food and handling of my complaint .
